2nd Chance @ College
2nd Chance @ College is a partnership program with Chabot College that began in 2014 and is meant to encourage and support our HUSD community to go back to college to pursue their educational goals. Throughout the last five years, 2nd Chance @ College has proudly been able to serve 12 to 20 parents per semester with an average passing rate of 98%.
The Student and Parent Support Programs (SPSP) 2nd Chance @ College program aims to provide HUSD families and employees with an opportunity to return to college. The program includes a rental book, child care, and one-on-one mentoring support for a small fee of $25.00.
ECD 67 - Infant and Toddler Development and Caregiving ( 3.00 Units )
A study of infants and toddlers from preconception to 36 months including physical, cognitive, language, social, and emotional growth and development. Applies theoretical frameworks to interpret behavior and interactions between heredity and environment. Examination of best practices, responsive caregiving techniques, environments, infant/toddler learning foundations, health, safety, and licensing requirements.
Requisites: ECD 56, (completed with a grade of "C" or higher)

This Fall, the HUSD's Student and Parent Support Programs continues its partnership with Chabot College to offer Online ECD 67 Early Childhood Curriculum on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M with no classroom requirement.
The class is only $25.00 with textbook rental included.
Classes are offered in English. This class is for HUSD families and staff only.
