The Million Fathers March

CALLING ALL FATHERS AND FATHER FIGURES!

About the Million Father March:

On Friday, September 15, 2023, the Hayward Unified School District hosted the twelfth annual Million Fathers March. We invited all fathers and father figures in Hayward to drive or walk their children to school on this special day. This year's theme was, “Real Dads Read.” 

Since the march began over 10 years ago, more than 1 million men, women, and children have participated nationwide, approximately 30,000 and 40,000 in Chicago alone. This year more than one million men in 600 cities were expected to participate in the nationwide event, and Hayward is proud to be a host city where the march will take place across our schools.

Acerca de la Marcha de un Millón de Padres:

El viernes 15 de septiembre del 2023, el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Hayward organizo la duodécima Marcha Anual de un Millón de Padres. Invitamos a todos los padres y figuras paternas de Hayward a conducir o caminar a sus hijos a la escuela en este día especial. El tema de este año era, “Real Dads Read”.

Desde que comenzó la marcha hace más de 10 años, más de 1 millón de hombres, mujeres y niños han participado en todo el país, aproximadamente 30 000 y 40 000 solo en Chicago. Este año se espero que más de un millón de hombres en 600 ciudades participaran en el evento nacional, y Hayward se enorgullece de ser una ciudad anfitriona donde la marcha se llevará a cabo en todas nuestras escuelas.
