What is Hayward’s African American Student Achievement Initiative (AASAI)?
In Hayward, as in many districts across the state and the nation, our African-American students are not achieving at the level we need. We are committed to every student's academic success in Hayward Unified. AASAI is a focused initiative to bring resources and strategies to address the needs of our African-American students.
We have four key strategic actions around AASAI that are connected to our district focus.
Culturally Relevant Practices
Improved Discipline and School Climate Policies and Practices
Parent and Community Partnerships
